Terms of Service

Welcome to Charm · 灵 (“Charm”, “we”, “us”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Charm iOS app and the charmfate.com website (together, the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Charm is a fortune-themed nail-art app. You shake your phone to draw a daily fortune, view five-element readings, and generate AI previews of nail-art designs on a photo of your hand. The Service is provided for personal, non-commercial entertainment use.

2. Accounts

Some features require an account, created through Sign in with Apple. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum digital-consent age in your country) to use the Service. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time (see our Privacy Policy).

3. Subscriptions & purchases

Charm offers optional paid subscriptions. All purchases are processed by Apple through your App Store account and are subject to Apple's terms — we never see your payment-card details. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; manage or cancel anytime in your Apple ID settings. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable; refund requests are handled by Apple.

4. Your content & photos

When you upload a photo of your hand to generate a preview, you keep ownership of that photo. You grant us a limited licence to process it solely to produce your previews and operate the Service. You confirm you have the right to upload any image you provide and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights. Do not upload unlawful, harmful, or infringing content.

5. AI-generated content

Nail-art previews are generated by automated AI models. They are illustrative approximations, not photographs of a real manicure, and may contain visual artefacts or inaccuracies. We make no guarantee that a salon result will match a preview. AI output is provided “as is.”

6. Fortunes are entertainment

All fortunes, five-element readings, solar-term notes, and related text are provided for entertainment and inspiration only. They are not advice of any kind — not medical, legal, financial, psychological, or professional — and must not be relied upon to make decisions. Any action you take based on a fortune is your own responsibility.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service: no reverse-engineering, no attempts to disrupt or overload our systems, no scraping, and no use that violates applicable law or these Terms.

8. Disclaimers & liability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Charm is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. Material changes will be reflected by a new effective date above. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
